About Sparrow
Sparrow Josephs is a writer and artist from the rainy forests of the Pacific Northwest.Their fiction debut will be in the upcoming anthology Common Bonds 3. They contributed an essay to Stories of Autistic Joy (Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2023) and published an analysis of Martha Wells' The Murderbot Diaries through an autistic lens (Reactor Magazine).When they’re not writing, Sparrow enjoys drawing, crafting, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
Fiction
Sparrow's short story "The Dead Girl of Laurel Creek" will be published in the upcoming anthology Common Bonds 3. Mabel, a dreamwitch-in-denial, flees her abusive family to a small, middle-of-nowhere town, where she gets tangled up in the knotted roots of another woman’s bloody family past, and that of her mysterious, precocious little sister. The good news: Mabel’s found a real connection and life here. The bad news: nobody can ever leave—Mabel included.
